Here at Calvary Chapel of Manassas we’re a team – God’s team – made up of many hard-working volunteers who cheerfully love God by loving others. We believe in empowering people to use their gifts to serve, and as they do, the work gets done and the needs get met! We also find that as we refresh others, we’re the ones who get refreshed! Want to join the team? The Scriptures promise that your gifts will make room for you!

Men’s Ministry
“Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.”
– (1Cr 16:13 NASB)
The purpose of our Men’s Ministry at CCoM is to develop and encourage the God-given leadership and responsibility traits delegated to men, by God, within the body of Christ. We believe that the qualifications for a minister in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 best exemplify the biblical model for the character of godly men.
Following the injunction of the Apostle Paul we endeavor to see men raised up to lead (2 Timothy 2:2). In addition to our main services there are other opportunities for the men to get together for mutual encouragement, service and spiritual growth.
Titus 2 Ladies
The women’s ministry of CCoM provides both single and married ladies of all ages an opportunity to grow in the knowledge and service of our Lord Jesus Christ as God has ordained through His Holy Word. The goal of the ministry is to equip women to fulfill their God-ordained role in the body as delineated in the Pastoral Epistles and Proverbs 31, especially the areas of marriage, family, and child-rearing. This is facilitated through informal gathering and discussion of Biblical principles and building of mentor/disciple relationships in order to bring full application of the Scriptures to our lives. Specifically, this is accomplished through a life witness of prayer, admonition, fellowship, and reaching out to the local body of Christ.
It is presumed that the women of CCoM attend and/or listen to all current services and prayer meetings, so that the body may be unified in its service for and fellowship with, the Lord Jesus. We believe that between the sound Biblical teaching offered weekly and the ladies’ “hands-on” ministering and outreach, the women of Calvary Chapel Manassas are fulfilling God’s call to glorify Jesus Christ through Biblical womanhood.
The following specifics are guidelines:
- Encourage the women of the church to attend Sunday and Wednesday services for their weekly Bible teaching. If unable to attend, listen to podcast online or CDs of the weekly messages.
- Pray publicly for the body of Christ on Thursday evenings at CCoM.
- Reach out to the body through meal preparation and assistance following birth, hospitalization, or sickness.
- Fellowship and mentor the younger women through bridal and baby showers, child training instruction and home school groups, and hands-on mentoring.
- Fellowship and mentor through in-home teaching and sharing ministries such as sewing, baking/cooking, food preservation and canning, soap-making, etc.
- Reach out to the local community through praise, singing, prayer, and friendship outreaches such as elderly and convalescent care homes.
Children’s Ministry
VISION: As pastors, leaders, teachers, and parents we desire to see the next generation genuinely discipled to have a close relationship to God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (3John1:4) We also have a long term “generational vision” to equip them for service in ministry, and to raise up another Godly generation of children, our grandchildren.
“But the loving kindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children.” – (Psa 103:17)
Objectives:
- To teach Biblical principles and application of the doctrines of the Holy Bible throughout everyday life.
- To train up our children to “walk in the Spirit” and live the Word.
- To disciple children who do not receive Biblical training at home, and in public school.
- To prepare children to be accountable for their own relationship with God, through Jesus, and become part of the body of Christ; this includes preparing them to serve in ministry, attend all services, and fellowship with the body as adults.
- To enable children to evangelize the lost and defend their faith in the world.

Music Ministry

Calvary Chapel of Manassas is a worship-centered, Christ-glorifying church.
We believe in utilizing the musical gifts that God has blessed us with, so that God’s people are able to freely enter into His presence during our times of worship. As a team, we strive for both musical and spiritual excellence in our music, as well as standing firmly upon a bedrock of scriptural integrity and prayer.
If you are a regular CCoM attender, and you believe you may be called as a singer and/or musician to our worship team, please email or speak to Jason Graves for specific information.
“Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.”
– (Psa 33:3 NASB)
Good News Jail and Prison Ministry
Our Jail & Prison Ministry seeks to reach and restore the lives of incarcerated men and women through the uncompromising Word of God. Involvement takes many forms. One of the easiest ways is to become a Good News Volunteer. You may have time available to teach a Bible Study, or to help the Chaplain with office work, distribute Bibles, or assist in the worship services. But most of all, the Chaplains need a strong group of people who will commit to pray for them each and every day.
Good News Jail and Prison Ministries is getting the gospel out to people who need to know the Lord.
“I was in prison and you came to visit me.” – (Matthew 25:36)
Cleaning Ministry
The purpose of the Calvary Chapel of Manassas cleaning ministry is to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of all indoor areas (sanctuary, kitchen, classrooms, foyer, halls, and restrooms) of the church. We all love to see the church looking its best. You can be a part by joining this valuable ministry.
The goal of this ministry is to maintain the indoor areas of the church through a sizable number of volunteers, spreading the duties among many groups each week, resulting in an individual commitment of 2-3 hours every 1-3 months. Anyone can serve with this ministry –even children (with adult supervision) are welcome. Some families do this together.
Cleaning normally takes place between Friday and Saturday, depending on the volunteer’s schedule. The cleaning coordinator sends out a quarterly schedule prior to the start of each quarter. Volunteers are free to switch weekends with other volunteers in the event of a scheduling conflict.
Specifically, we handle the vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping, trash removal and other general cleaning.
The workload is much lighter with many hands. With more volunteers joining we are able to increase the time between scheduled cleaning dates. Again, the goal is to distribute this commitment into, 2 times per quarter (2-3 hours every 3 months). This ministry offers a “behind the scenes” way of serving. It also allows for families with younger (or any) children a way to serve together, people who travel during the week, people who may only have a couple of hours at night, etc. to serve.

Media Ministry
“Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, And His greatness is unsearchable.”
– (Psa 145:3 NASB)
CCoM’s Media Ministry strives to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the principles found within God’s Word through the use of media. The Media Ministry sees it as important to be culturally relevant in today’s society, while reflecting the full counsel of God’s Word. Jesus often communicated by using parables that were culturally relevant to that day and age, and in today’s high speed, high impact society, people are using various different forms of media and technology to communicate and get information, and this also includes individuals who are seeking God. It is the vision of this ministry that we may use media and other technologies to help further His Kingdom.
